Warner Bros has just revealed the official PC system requirements for their upcoming wizarding game Hogwarts Legacy. Not only am I looking forward to exploring the legendary magic school, but also the lore, given the game is set in the 1800s, which should get up plenty of new adventures to uncover. Plus, the PC requirements look pretty decent too, and some older gaming hardware should still get the job done nicely.
It looks like you’ll want at least an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600, as well as 8GB of RAM paired with either an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or the AMD RX Vega 56. That’s pretty reasonable, and for those of you yet to upgrade, it may give you some hope.
Avalanche Software bump things up to an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with 16GB of RAM, paired with either an NVIDIA GeForce 1080 Ti or an AMD RX 5700 XT graphics card for their recommended though, which is still pretty decent. I’m betting an RTX 2060 or 1660 Ti would do too.
The low requirements are likely thanks to the AMD FSR feature though, and obviously, for higher resolutions, you’ll simply be looking at more high-end modern cards such as the RTX 3080, although that’s yet to be confirmed.
Either way, given the game is not out until Feb 10th next year, it’s nice to see some requirements so early!
