Oh Dear God – ANOTHER Bubsy Game Is Being Made!

Just When You Thought This Cat Would Be Put Out Of Its Misery

If there was ever a franchise that deserved to die a death, it was Bubsy the Bobcat. Created during the gaming mascot boom of the mid-nineties, I think it’s pretty safe to say that over 20 years on, he’s never once been given a decent game.

Despite that though, they still keep making Bubsy games! Only last year we saw the release of (another) completely underwhelming game in the franchise. In fairness, it wasn’t outright awful, but at the very least it was more of the same sub-par mediocrity.

Well, if you were thinking that this cat had finally used up his 9 lives, you’d be mistaken. With the release of a new trailer, Accolade has confirmed that a new Bubsy game is on the way.

Mixed Feelings!

When I covered the pre-release of the last Bubsy game, I was somewhat optimistic. From what I saw, the game showed a lot of promise and potential. As such, despite feeling that way about this new game, I am definitely tempering it with a lot more caution these days. Bubsy had its chance to redeem itself with me and blew it. Shall I give it another chance?…

Will the new Bubsy game be good? Well, the trailer certainly looks decent. Rather than gushing over it though, I think this time around I’m going to wait and see just how good (or bad) it actually is before I am able to forgive this franchise.

What do you think? Do you like the look of the trailer? – Let us know in the comments!
