One of Runescape’s biggest players and fans who spent thousands of hours and thousands of dollars over the course of 21 years much of his time and money amassing a fortune never before seen in Runescape has lost everything. Darth Microtransaction popular content creator on YouTube has said in his recent YouTube video
“The long and the short of it, if you’re not a Runescape person, I have a 21-year-old Runescape account that just got completely GG-ed.”
You might be surprised to hear that this isn’t the first time Darth Microtransaction has lost nearly everything the first time he did it was by his own doing back when Duel Arena was in the game. Once he had finished grinding and had got to his first maxed-out bank account and had everything he went to Duel Arena and lost everything on 17 bad coin flips (basically Runescapes gambling system).
But once Jagex the company behind Runscape removed Duel Arena Darth Microtransaction thought this would be the perfect time to rebuild his account without the fear of giving into his gambling addiction.
“Duel Arena is cancer, and has since been cut out of the community—you actually can’t do it anymore,”
“So when I realized, hey, my terrible gambling issue of wanting to stake my gold is gone, I’m gonna rebuild my Runescape account. And this time, surely, everything is fine.”
Darth Microtransaction was able to get his account back and was able to put in place new security measures but it didn’t matter that much since the hacker stole everything. The account was cleaned out for everything of value and everything that wasn’t of value in his video he gave an apology to everyone who contributed to helping him get to his goal.
Thankfully the story has a happy ending as not long after what happened he received an email saying that all of his account items had been recovered and would be sent back to him.
