Late last year Omate launched TrueSmart smart watches and now it looks like they are back. This time with the Omate X Smart Watch. It connects via Bluetooth 4.0 to Apple iOS or Android devices. The user can then make and receive calls, social media and reminder notifications among others at a glance on the wrist. The watch can also control your music playback.

The Omate X has a 1.5 inch touch screen built into an aluminium housing. The watch itself is 11mm thick and can be used with any standard watch-strap. It is built on the MediaTek SoC and ARM processor and is equipped with a 400mAh battery. Omate states that the watch has a standby time of up to one week.

The watch should hit the markets coming September for pre-orders and then be delivered coming October. The price is at $129, that actually isn’t so bad. Smart watches are considered the next wave of popular consumer products and wearable technology.
