I must admit I’m fairly new to One Piece, as my Son has been mad on it in recent years, and after well over a thousand episodes and still going, there’s a lot of Monkey D. Luffy and his intrepid crew to enjoy! Now you can (hopefully) kick back in the concert hall and enjoy the most memorable moments of the TV series on the big screen, while a 50-piece orchestra gives you the live soundtrack in what will surely be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, possibly twice if you’re willing to travel and catch the show more than once.
The official press release reads “It is time to celebrate One Piece’s 25th anniversary with an epic array of music full of action and emotion! Immerse yourself in the magic of a full orchestra as it performs One Piece’s iconic music live on stage, while the greatest moments from the anime come to life on screen in perfect sync. Relive the past 25 years of thrilling adventures of the Straw Hat Crew, all set to the vibrant sounds of the series’ most memorable music!”
Join us for a special anniversary world tour that showcases a brand-new program from the world of One Piece. Experience the highlights from 25 years of adventures, including unforgettable moments with the entire Straw Hat Crew, all presented in a film concert with a giant screen projection! The music program of the One Piece Music Symphony will feature fan favourite songs like “We Are!,” “Sai sai saikyo!!!,” “Oitsumerareta,” and “Binks no Sake”, along with some new pieces specifically made for this anniversary celebration, like the Gear 5 theme music “Ore no Saikō Chiten” and the new opening “Assu!”.
Unfortunately for me, the nearest show is in London, which is a few hundred miles South of where I am, so I doubt I’d make the show, but it is tempting! These are some pretty killer venues though, which goes to show the scale you can expect from this production.

The Los Angeles and Paris concerts will also feature special appearances by composer Kohei Tanaka and singer Hiroshi Kitadani (“We Are!”, “We Go!”, “OVER THE TOP”, “Assu!”), who will perform live along with the orchestra and attend a Meet & Greet session for VIP ticket holders. This One Piece 25th anniversary concert is scheduled to be performed worldwide, from America (Los Angeles’s Shrine Auditorium, San Francisco’s Davies Symphony Hall, Dallas’ Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center…) to Europe (London’s Eventim Apollo, Palais des Congrès in Paris, Köln Philharmonie…) to Asia (Singapore’s Esplanade Concert Hall, Seoul’s KBS Hall…).
Started more than 10 years ago, ONE PIECE Music Symphony is the one and only official One Piece concert, with music arranged and curated in direct collaboration with original composer Kohei Tanaka and under license from TOEI ANIMATION. 2024 will be ONE PIECE Music Symphony’s 11th year in Asia, 10th year in Europe, and 2nd year in America. The show has already sold-out some of the world’s most renowned concert venues, such as the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the Philharmonie in Paris, and the Beijing Workers’ Stadium. It has been performed by numerous national orchestras, such as the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, the Aarhus Symfoniorkester, and for France the national orchestras of Strasbourg, Marseille and Mulhouse. With videos perfectly synchronized with the anthology soundtrack and projected onto a giant video screen in HD, action, adventure, and emotions are always on the program! Sublimated by the majestic power of a symphony orchestra of more than 50 musicians, each show is the time to enjoy the most famous music from the TV series live!
