For those of you still playing Forza Horizon 1 or 2, then unfortunately the online services for those games will soon be shutting down.
Announced Forza.net website, the online services for Forza Horizon 1 and 2 will be closing on August 22nd 2023 so that more support can be placed on the most recent Forza games. This news will be unfortunate for those who still use the online features of these games including matchmaking, leaderboards and user-generated content involving liveries, tuning setups and photos. Forza Horizon was a staple for open-world racing games taking Forza to Colorado and providing the foundations for the Horizon festival. I didn’t play much of Horizon 1 but I did play a lot of Horizon 2, which took place in Italy and still to this day is my favourite Horizon map. Horizon 2 also featured a Fast and Furious DLC which at the time as a 13-year-old Fast and Furious lover, was amazing. It’s a shame to see them go but the single player is still there and that’s the key thing if you still enjoy playing them.
