Optoma GT3500HDR Ultra Short Throw Gaming Projector Revealed

I’m a big fan of projectors, having a lovely 4K one myself, it’s great for movie night, but it has one issue with around 80ms of latency, it’s pretty crap for gaming. That’s where the new GT3500HDR grabs my attention, as it’s built for gaming from the ground up. It offers up a Full HD 1080p image, which is going to be more than enough for gaming and movie nights. However, with a brightness of around 3800 lumens, it’s extremely bright, and thanks to its Optoma’s DuraCore laser technology it should deliver exceptional contrast and HDR performance compared to lamp-powered projectors, and extremely long life too, due to it not using a traditional DLP bulb configuration.

The ultra-short throw design means you place this projector pretty much right up against the wall you’re projecting on, meaning it can be placed on top of a standard TV stand/unit, and doesn’t require you to work out complicated throw ranges or deal with ceiling mounts for your projection.
