Something interesting showed on Intel‘s list of unlocked CPUs recently. It is an i7-8809G processor sporting a Radeon RX Vega M graphics. It is the only one on the list, but that does not mean it is the only RX Vega CPU Intel is releasing soon. The rest might be on locked multipliers. Although the actual product page link is not available yet, Intel did list the basic specs for this processor. It has a 100W Target Package TDP and is a quad-core solution. It runs at 3.1GHz with Hyper-threading and 8MB of cache. Unlike other Coffee Lake CPUs, it only supports up to dual-channel DDR4-2400 officially (compared to DDR4-2666). However, that does not necessarily mean that is the highest memory it can run. In fact, with XMP profiles, and current Intel memory controllers, it should be able to run overclocked memory quite easily.
Another interesting fact on i7-8809G product list is that it appears to sport both Radeon RX Vega and Intel HD Graphics 630 GPU. This is the same GPU on Coffee Lake. This is most likely a power-gated design with the regular Intel graphics used on regular 2D loads. The Radeon RX Vega GPU could just kick in when necessary, saving power for the system. This is typically for NUC setups, specifically for the Hades Canyon NUC series.
