Overclocker Achieves DDR5-9000 on AMD B650E

AMD has been known for its weaker memory controllers on its motherboards and chips compared to Intel and as such has led to most overclockers favouring Intel for their next record. So when someone does achieve a high overclock on AMD, it is quite a feat which is exactly what HiCookie has achieved today.

DDR5-9000 Achieved on B650E

As reported by overclock3d.net Chihua Ke also known as HiCookie, shared that they have achieved DDR5-9058 at 1.4V on a B650E Tachyon motherboard using Gigabyte AORUS memory. This record has been achieved mostly in thanks to the new AGESA 1007B update which has moved the sweet spot on AMD platforms from DDR5-6000 to 8000 or more and has opened up more settings for memory control as well as DDR5 Nitro which has brought access to internal memory controller timings.

This is an impressive feat with a lot of trial and error plus some skills to achieve this speed, especially on AM5 and B650. With the new AGESA update we are likely to see some more high speeds from AM5 in the future with a more positive outlook on memory with AMD CPUs.
