Acoustic, Power & Thermal Performance

Acoustic Performance

The Alpenfohn Brocken 2 CPU cooler is remarkably quiet in idle conditions and creates a wonderful PC experience. Under stress, the noise output increases by a minor amount and doesn’t become loud at any time.

Power Consumption

Despite offering ridiculous processing power, the system consumes less than 250 watts when stressed.

Thermal Performance

Not just content with being unbelievably quiet, the system’s CPU cooler is able to tame an overclocked i5-6600K without much effort and there’s loads of headroom to push the chip even further. The maximum CPU core hit 58C while the average figure evened out at an impressive 54C. On another note, the graphics card stayed well within its thermal limits and didn’t encounter any throttling.
