OverWatch 2 Releases on Steam With Overwhelmingly Negative Reviews

The free-to-play sequel to Overwatch has today launched on Steam after being exclusive to battle.net, unfortunately, it hasn’t been given a hero’s welcome.

Overwatch 2 Now on Steam

Overwatch 2 is now available for free on Steam though it has launched with overwhelmingly negative reviews and is clearly not welcome, so why do people hate the game? Well, it seems as though unsurprisingly for a free-to-play title, the microtransactions are a key issue with Blizzard charging obscene amounts for a sodding character’s skin. The reviews also point out the invasion bundle which introduces new story missions for £12.99 which many users have claimed to have not even received. Another thing pointed out was the lack of an “artwork” tab in the community section which honestly, is probably for the best.

NVIDIA Overwatch 2 Invasion Bundle Giveaway

On a similar topic, NVIDIA is giving away the Invasion bundle alongside the purchase of RTX 40 series graphics cards to celebrate this trip hazard of a launch.

This bundle includes:

  • All 3 Story Missions
  • 3,000 OW2 Coins
  • 1 Earnable Legendary Skin (Vigilante Sojourn)
  • 1 Earnable Sojourn Hero License Unlock
  • Premium Battle Pass + 20 Tier Skips
  • 2 OW2 Legendary Skins (C-455 Sharpshooter Cassidy & K-2000 Blademaster Kiriko)

This bundle costs £34.99 on its own and for that, there are many other actual games you could purchase instead of DLC for a free game.
