Ozone is announcing a new gaming keyboard called the Alliance. Ozone claims that it represents the “perfect outcome of the evolution of gaming keyboards”. This is due to integrating the best of both mechanical and membrane keyboard features. It uses semi-mechanical CrossTech Switches which are basically membrane keys with custom housing. Similar to how Cooler Master made their MasterSet keyboards.
It also has RGB backlighting with 9 lighting effects and sound reactive technology. The last part is a neat effect, where the lighting changes depending on the audio input. Although it is not thoroughly unique to the Ozone Alliance, it is an interesting and fun feature to have on a backlit keyboard. Since it is meant for gaming, it also features an anti-ghosting layout for up to 25-keys. Perhaps its best attribute is the fact that it is splashproof as well. This is due to the cross-tech switch design which has a housing preventing water from getting into the switch.
The entire keyboard weighs 1150 grams and uses a 1.8 meter long USB cable for connection. This cable is braided with an anti-fraying terminal as well to protect it from getting damaged. For more information on the features, visit: https://www.ozonegaming.com/product/alliance
