Available for a little over £44.99 from Overclockers.co.uk here in the UK and $66 in the US from Amazon.com, the Ozone Neon is really great value for money. However it does creep very close to the SteelSeries Sensei RAW, which can be found for around the same price and that’s one of the most highly regarded gaming mice on the market today. The Ozone is a superb mouse, but some may be swayed to pay a tiny bit more for the Sensei, either way you’ll be happy with your investment.

Overview

Ozone have already got a great range of gaming peripherals on the market and their latest effort, the Ozone Neon, is a welcome addition to the range. In many ways there is nothing truly exceptional about this mouse, it’s got great build quality, solid performance, a decent feature set and it looks pretty great too, but it lacks innovation. At this price range you’re hardly going to see many companies pushing the limits of what is possible, but for the gaming community as a whole, having this level of performance and features, at this price tag, is a wonderful thing to have.

For around the same price you can find great products from Steelseries, Razer, Logitech and a few others, so it can be hard to pick which mouse is right for you and truth be told, it’s not an easy choice. There are a lot of similarities, especially so in ambidextrous mice which tend to be symmetrical, leaving little room for unique ergonomics. It’s finding the little details that are suited to your play style that make a difference in the long run. The Neon has a super low lift-off height, glides really well on any surface, has a grippy coating that makes it comfortable to hold and full programmable buttons, overall it’s very well suited to any type of gaming as much as it is day-to-day computing tasks. Some gaming mice tend to feel like they’re only great for one thing, but the Neon strikes a nice balance.

I really like the Ozone Neon, it’s comfortable to use, easy to set up and configure and the price is competitive (if only by a small margin). It’s still worthy of our Bang for Buck award, it does sit in that sweet spot where your still making a big investment, but you’re getting an a solid return in terms of features, build quality and performance.
