Ozone Neon3K Optical Gaming Mouse Review

A Closer Look
The 3K comes hard-wired with a nice quality black braided cable, fitted with a gold-plated USB header. The cables nice and light, so shouldn’t cause too much drag and it’s a good length too.
The mouse has a pretty classic shape, and that means it works well for both palm rest and claw grip play styles. The addition of the tough rubber grip coating on the top section means it holds firm in your hand, which some curvy sides mean you can really get a hold on it, or use a lift-off technique with ease if you need to.
There are two switches on the left side, and it’s worth pointing out that all the switches are Omron, so they have a really nice tactile and audible click to them that give a really nice feedback while working and gaming.
At the back, there’s a small Ozone logo with built-in LED lighting, it’s only 6-colour lighting, but not everything needs to be full RGB these days and that does help keep the cost down a little. On the right side, there are two more buttons, but since this is a fully ambidextrous mouse, that’s hardly a surprise. What it does mean is that you have two extra side buttons no matter which way you use it, giving you a few extra places for adding shortcuts and macros.
The LMB and RMB have a slight curve to them, promoting a good finger resting position and the heavily recessed scroll wheel has a soft rubber grip coating, making it super easy to control. The wheel also has a well-defined “bump” when turned, making it perfect for accurate weapon selection in FPS style games.
On the base, two huge slipmats provide the 3K with excellent glide, which is improved even more by the lightweight and balanced design of the mouse. We found it worked perfectly on aluminium, wood, hard cloth, and soft mat gaming surfaces.
