Ahead of the official GeForce GTX 1080 release, Palit was able to run a tight ship and suppress leaks of their upcoming graphics cards. Now that they are free to launch them, Palit is sharing their two latest GeForce GTX 1080. The card comes in the usual GTX 1080 Super JetStream and the new GTX 1080 GameRock series.
Like all the gaming graphics cards coming out this year, the GameRock features controllable RGB LED lighting. We’re not sure where the lighting is but the logos are certainly backlit. The card also features odB operation for minimal noise when idle. Despite the gaming moniker, the GameRock still boasts 8pin and 6pin PCIe power connectors and 8+2 phase PWM, maximising overclocking headroom. The cooler is quite beefy as well, reaching into 2.5 slots and features a honeycomb IO bracket for extra ventilation.
There is less information on the Super JetStream but the cooler is largely the same with a different shroud. The same IO bracket with honeycomb design is present. Just like the GameRock, we have a DVI-D, HDMI 2.0 and 3 DP 1.4 ports. The logo is also LED backlit and likely controllable. No pricing has been revealed yet but I expect they will be cheaper than the Founders Edition.
