Palit Launches Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Dual OC Edition

Over half a year after launch, Nvidia’s AIB partners are continuing to release new GTX 1080 graphics cards. The latest to join the legion is the Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Dual OC Edition. As you guess from the relatively simple name, the card is meant for more budget conscious users and as an alternative to the GameRock and JetSteam lineups.

As a GTX 1080, it runs the GP104 die with the latest Pascal architecture. The 2,560 CUDA cores are clocked at 1620 MHz base and 1759 MHz boost. The 8GB of GDDR5X clocks in at the stock 5000 MHz over the 256bit bus for 320 GB/s of memory bandwidth.

More specific to the design, we have a dual fan cooling solution with 0dB operating mode. Underneath that, we have a custom PCB tuned for cost/performance to offer the best value. Palit hasn’t cheaped out though as it uses DrMOS components though there is no backplate. The card features the special Honeycomb Bracket allowing for more airflow to exhaust out the back. There is no word yet on pricing but expect it to be on the lower end of things.
