Palit RTX 2070 Super GameRock Graphics Card Review

How Much Does It Cost?
The Palit RTX 2070 SUPER GameRock Graphics Card is available now with an MSRP of £529.99. This is the top end “Premium Edition” card though. There’s a standard blower-style card for just £479.99, the Jetstream edition for £499.99, and the GameRock for £509.99. Obviously starting at reference clock speeds up to the most overclocked one which we reviewed today.
Overview
The SUPER cards are certainly living up to their name. We’ve only tested two so far, but we can’t argue with the fact that they’re pretty darn quick. Yes, the do cost most, but at the end of the day, you’re getting quite a big performance jump for the extra cash investment too. That’s all dependent on if you need that boost though, as the current RTX cards aren’t exactly slow either.
Performance
Palit has done a fine job with the GameRock though. It was up against the Gigabyte RTX 2070 SUPER Gaming OC and it beat it in pretty much every benchmark, from synthetics to gaming. Then again, it is obviously sunning higher clock speeds, a bigger cooler, and it also costs more. So the fact it beat it, well it’s no big surprise really.
Should I Buy One?
What I love above this card is how much of a performance boost we saw. In plenty of benchmarks, it was giving the RTX 2080 and even the RTX 2080 Ti a good thrashing. Considering they’re still more expensive than the SUPER cards, it’s an interesting option for those who haven’t invested in RTX class cards yet. I wouldn’t trade in my non-SUPER for a SUPER, but coming from a 10xx or even a 9xx, these are the biggest bang for buck from the green team right now.
