Palit RTX 4070 Super Dual Graphics Card Review

These results are meant to show comparative performance between non-Founders Edition cards rather than comparison against all other graphics cards on our charts. For the full suite of RTX 4070 testing results, please refer to our launch review here. It’s more to make sure that the performance on the card being tested falls within the margins we expect from the chipset given they’re the same chipset, but feature different power delivery, cooling, and other features.

Since the Palix RTX 4070 Super Dual is an MSRP card, you would expect its performance to be broadly the same as the other non-MSRP cards such as the Nvidia RTX 4070 Super Founders Edition, and you would be right! It did manage to be slightly faster on the average, and slightly lower on the 1% lows, but broadly it’s the same at 1080p.
At 1140p, again, there’s just 1 FPS difference here, so nothing you would really notice, but as you can see, we’re around 16 FPS ahead of the non-Super card again, meaning it is around 13% faster overall.
At 4K, we’re about 10 FPS faster than the non-Super card on average, with all the new Super cards scoring broadly the same. Still, getting a bit more above that 60 FPS gold standard is always welcome for a smoother gaming experience.

For the RTX 4070 Non-Super, performance is pretty great, but it’s clear that the Super cards are a nice little bit faster at this point, with the Palit hitting around 110 FPS on average, which is similar to that of the RTX 3080 Ti, but with stronger 1% lows of 77 FPS.
At 1440p, the Palit is just 1-2 FPS behind the other Super cards, but it’s unlikely you would notice in a blind study which is which at this level. What is interesting is that these new cards are around 20 FPS faster than the RTX 4070.
Moving up to 4K, keeping in mind this is without any scaling or frame generation, the Super cards are pulling around 10 FPS more than the non-Super, which is pretty amazing to see over 30% increase in performance, likely due to the upgrade to the memory, not just the core count.
