Palworld continues growing despite receiving backlash from various angles over it’s concept so far in fact that it has surpassed Counter Strike 2’s all time peak player count making it the 2nd highest played game on Steam.
Palworld Surpasses CS:2
This game really is just pushing itself right through to the sun, based upon data at SteamDB, Palworld currently has 1,847,492 players which is the current record for the games all time player count taking it above Counter Strike 2 which peaked 9 months ago at 1,818,773. It still sits far behind PUBG though at 3,257,248 though could we see Palworld topple this?
I don’t think developers PocketPair ever expected the game to blow up this much and in an interview with PocketPair CEO Mizobe prior to the games release, he compared the 1.4 Million Wishlist’s on the game to the fewer 100,000-200,000 on their previous title Craftopia. The only question to be asked though, is will this interest last? Its entirely possible that the game will blow up now but be forgotten in a month, it’s going to be tough for the developers to maintain the interest in the game, especially around criticism of originality.
