Panasonic has announced it will be releasing something to fill a gap in the tablet market. A tablet of enterprise standard, with business functionality and a rugged design to be flexible, long lasting and reliable.
The Toughbook will have a matte-finish screen so it will be usable in an outdoor or indoor environment, it will have higher brightness to make up for the fact it is not a shiny surface. The screen is a 10.1″ XGA multi-touch display interface. The Toughbook will also have heightened security both at a hardware and software level. Expect it also to come with a satellite GPS, long battery life to last working shifts, professional grade accessories and optional 3G broadband.
