Cities Skylines 2 Patch Improves Garbage & Blocks Unsafe U-Turns On Highways

A new patch for Cities Skylines 2 has been released for both Steam and Microsoft Store which introduces even more fixes for the various issues that the game has.
Cities Skylines 2 Patch 1.0.13f1
Patch 1.0.13f1 has been released for Cities Skylines 2 which primarily covers the content which was discussed in the previous Word of the Week primarily around garbage collection. With this patch the garbage production and accumulation calculations have been balanced, garbage trucks no longer accidentally add garbage load when calculating the amount estimate for their paths, and the garbage resource “trade value” no longer shows a negative value.
Something I’ve noticed from browsing related subreddits is that many users are complaining about cars making unsafe U-turns on motorways when merging from a split-lane motorway into a connected-lane motorway. This issue has been patched with a pathfinding penalty increase alongside a fix for lane-changing behaviour when one or more lanes merge from the left side. The traffic in the game is quite chaotic at times and I hope to see more fixes, though some could say the chaos accurately reflects real life with some of the idiots on our roads. Unfortunately, my game pass subscription has expired so I won’t be playing for a while, but when more fixes come along I’ll grab another month’s subscription or maybe even the full game if it drops under £30.
