There aren’t that many manufacturers out there supporting the latest UHS-II standard and as such it’s nice to see Patriot joining the ranks with their newest SD card, the EP Pro-II SDXC card. The new high speeds cards make 4K UHD recording a breeze and prevents any lags in your recordings – because who wants that.
“The new EP PRO-II SDXC is the latest, highest-performing SD card available today, meeting the new SD 4.0 specifications and a growing demand for higher performance with faster speeds,” said Meng Jay Choo, Patriot’s Flash Product manager. “With its impressive transfer speeds and high definition capabilities, users never have to worry about missing that perfect moment or running low on storage space.”
The cards will be available from 16GB to 64GB capacities and support read and write speeds up to 280MB/s and 250MB/s. Of course, the cards are backwards compatible with SD 3.0 and SD 2.0 capable devices.
Patriot’s EP PRO-II SDXC cards are backed by a 5-year warranty and will be available for purchase in the first quarter of 2015 for an MSRP of $119.99 – $199.99.
