Patriot Launches Supersonic Bolt XT Hardware Encrypted Flash Drive
Bohs Hansen / 10 years ago
Patriot has presented their newest thumb-drive; the Supersonic Bolt XT USB3. This isn’t an everyday thumb-drive as the housing might give away. The rugged housing made from rubber protects the drive from day-to-day drops and bumps while the built-in FIPS 197 compliant 256-bit AES hardware encryption keeps a keen eye on the safety of your files. On top of the encryption, the drive has a bruteforce protection and will reformat itself if the password should be entered falsely ten times in a row.
Connecting via the USB 3.0 interface, the new Supersonic Bolt XT can read data with 150MB/s and write them with 30MB/s. While it may not sound like an all too fast drive, one has to take the encryption into consideration. That is a tasking job for many processors alone, and the drive has it built-in.
The Patriot Supersonic Bolt XT USB3 Flash Drive is available now and the pricing starts at $49.99 for the 16GB model and 32Gb and 64GB will be available as well.
