Patriot EVLVR
Tired of your sluggish external USB drives? Kick them to the side and replace them with the Thunderbolt 3 SSD from Patriot. Their new EVLVR drive offers up to 1600 MBs read and 1000 MBs write. It’ll come with either 512 GB or 1 TB of storage for $240-380. Not cheap, but for the size and performance, it’s pretty hard to beat.
Next-Gen Lighting
Viper VPR100 series is here at last. It features the latest Phison E12 controller, as well as Toshiba NAND, giving you great performance right out of the box. It’s M.2 so, you can obviously install it to pretty much anything, and it’ll come in 256GB up to 2TB capacities.
What’s interesting is the neat heatsink and LED configuration. Obviously, it’s RGB, and it looks fantastic.
However, the RGB lights are much smaller and built into the PCB. No need for an external cable to power them this time. It’s all controlled right off the motherboard.
Also in here, the Viper Steel DDR4 SODIMM. New 8GB to 32GB kits, with XMP 2.0. They’ll come with speeds up to 3000 MHz.
More Memory!
It wouldn’t be Patriot without a bank of memory products. From left to right, we have their new Signature Line, which are pretty affordable models of up to 2666 MHz. The Viper Steel which we saw above, then their current Viper RGB line in speeds of up to 4133 MHz.
Viper Steel
This is the one that really stands out to me. Their new flagship memory offers 4400 MHz speeds and 19-19-19-39 timings. It looks fantastic, but there’s something missing? That’s right, no RGB! I love that they’ve kept their high-end with RGB for the gaming market, but their enthusiast performance kits without it.
Storage
The latest Viper 1TB drive. Not reinventing the wheel here, but the S12 controller again, and capacities of 256GB to 2TB. Also shown is the nonRGB VPN100 M.2 NVMe drive. You can read our full review here.
USB
Also on display, Patriot had their current lineup of USB drives in various shapes and sizes. These offer everything from lifestyle to their enthusiast drives; such as the mighty Viper Fang.
