Patriot Viper V760 RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review

Performance
The included keycap puller tool is very handy, allowing to easily clean and maintain the keyboard as required. It’s also handy for me, as it means I can show you the switches more easily.
The switches are Kailh Brown and come with full per-key RGB LED lighting. The use the standard “+” stem too, so custom keycaps shouldn’t be an issue.
The keyboard looks great powered up, showing off its lovely RGB lighting effects, of which there are many. The best part is that wrist rest though, it’s a nice addition, and personally, I can’t use a keyboard without one anymore.
RGB
The colours from the switches are vibrant and feature some silky smooth transitions and effects. What’s cool is that you can control virtually every aspect of the keyboards features from the keyboard. Sure, there’s some downloadable software too, but you’ll likely only need it once to quickly configure your macros and colour profiles more easily.
When it comes to gaming, it doesn’t disappoint one bit. I’m a big fan of the Kailh Brown switches, and they’re extremely competitive with Cherry right now. Sure, the few switch snobs out there will disagree, but that’s their prerogative, and Kailh is gaining traction with many big gaming brands already.
The keys are light and responsive, with a nice bump action that you would expect from comparable brown switches. However, it’s their RGB lighting that literally shines the most.
Look At That Glow!
The colours are fantastic, with good separation from key to key, and the aluminium housing catches the light well, without being too bright or distracting.
Overall, I can’t fault the performance or the looks of this keyboard; so far so good!
