PayPal Could be Coming to Amazon

It’s true that there are quite a few Amazon customers that prefer to pay for their purchases using the company’s own Prime program, but some would rather use more convenient methods such as PayPal. Fortunately, it looks like the two companies have been talking about implementing such a feature, at least according to PayPal’s Chief Executive Officer Dan Schulman:
“We have been in conversations with Amazon. We’re closing in on 200 million users on our platform right now. At that scale, it’s hard for any retailer to think about not accepting PayPal.”
Even though Amazon has not issued an official statement on the matter just yet, it’s probably just a matter of time before more details regarding these talks will begin to surface. The implementation of PayPal’s on Amazon would surely benefit European customers the most, especially since some of them are not comfortable with giving their credit card information to Amazon. Everyone knows that Amazon has its own payment system in place, but it’s pretty hard to resist PayPal right now, as the company has recently reported having 197 million active customer accounts in the fourth quarter. It’s also worth noting that shares have declined 3.3 percent in New York, while revenue and profit estimates have missed estimates.
