“We have been in conversations with Amazon. We’re closing in on 200 million users on our platform right now. At that scale, it’s hard for any retailer to think about not accepting PayPal.”
Even though Amazon has not issued an official statement on the matter just yet, it’s probably just a matter of time before more details regarding these talks will begin to surface. The implementation of PayPal’s on Amazon would surely benefit European customers the most, especially since some of them are not comfortable with giving their credit card information to Amazon. It’s also worth noting that shares have declined 3.3 percent in New York, while revenue and profit estimates have missed estimates.
