PC Building Simulator
The first time you build your PC can be a terrifying experience. Firstly, you have to be entirely lucky enough to have bought everything you need. Trust me, even with experience that isn’t always the case. Beyond that, it’s the horror of the thought of damaging any of the components you spent your hard earned cash on. Even experienced hands get worried about that. I always treat my GPU like a holy relic.
Therefore, what better way to test out your building skills than by using a simulator to learn how everything fits together.
One of the most popular programs in this regard is the PC Building Simulator, and the game is soon coming to Steam Early Access.
The Irregular Corporation
The games, developer, The Irregular Corporation have been hard at work to put together what is essentially a comprehensive ‘hands-on’ guide to building PCs from scratch.
What is perhaps most impressive about the project is that they have gotten actual manufacturers to sign up for the game. By doing this you can use their entirely legitimate virtual components.
Already confirmed is EVGA, Nvidia, Z370 motherboards, SuperNOVA and official gaming cases. As above, these will all be real world items which, if you were planning on building a system, may at some stage allow you to create it entirely in simulation.
Whats more, the game even offers a virtual benchmarking of the system to see how it performs and even perhaps, where your design is lacking.
When is it released?
In a report via PCGamer, the exact release date isn’t known yet. It basically boils down to who else signs up for it and how long it takes for them to create virtual copies of the hardware.
You never know, you might design your next system using PC Building Simulator.
What do you think? A great gaming simulation idea? Impressed with the companies signed up? In addition, would you buy/use this? – Let us know in the comments!
