PC Gaming – What to expect in 2012

It looks like 2012 is going to be a strong year for gaming, ok there is a severe amount of sequels, but it’s nice to see some reboots of old franchises and a few new IP’s in the mix.

I’m hoping this year will be the source of my gaming highlights for 2012 and even more so, creates some of my best gaming moments and memories overall.  Let’s play them and see if they all manage to live up to their expectations.  For some of the titles failure could mean the end of a fair few popular franchises and even the end of some studios given the current economy.

I had to leave so many great games out of my picks to narrow it down to my few favourites and we are only just out of January.  Who knows what else is lurking unannounced in a developers office somewhere waiting to be unleashed on the world, with E3 edging closer and closer you can be sure we’ll be on top of the latest news and releases as they happen.

Don’t forget to check back for reviews and follow ups to 2012 greatest games throughout the year.

Now all I need to do is finish the 12 or so games I picked up over Christmas before they announce any more.

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
