From what we’ve seen so far, it’s pretty clear that Anthem is an incredibly good-looking title. However, since a game’s overall quality level is also determined by a solid storyline and enjoyable gameplay mechanics, we’ve still to determine how good this game really is. Fortunately, Bioware and EA have decided to launch a Closed Beta phase for the title on December 8th. Furthermore, we now know exactly what are the PC requirements for this Closed Beta.
Based on the Frostbite engine, Anthem will need at least an Intel Core i5 3570 or an AMD FX-6350 CPU. These are the recommended requirements, mind you, which is why we’re also seeing a GTX 970 or an AMD R9 390 8GB in the list. When it comes to RAM, you’ll need at least 8GB, as well as 60GB of free hard-disk space. Furthermore, it looks like the game will run only on 64-bit operating systems, with Windows 10 being the most obvious choice.
The final PC requirements for Anthem might be even more demanding, but we’ll definitely keep you in the loop as we find out more. As a final treat, Bioware also released the title’s main graphics options. These include Ambient Occlusion, Textures, Texture Filtering, Mesh, Lighting, Effects, Post-Processing, Terrain, Vegetation, and Anti-Aliasing.
Anthem will come out on February 22 as long as the Beta phase goes smoothly.
