Storage and USB Performance

CrystalDiskMark – Sequential Read

The 240GB boot SSD attains a marvellous read speed given the bandwidth restrictions of the SATA interface. On another note, the mechanical disk drive fared reasonably well although it’s not the best data rate on record. The USB 3.0 performance was good but it failed to break the 300MB/s barrier.

CrystalDiskMark – Sequential Write

When it comes to write performance, the system’s primary boot drive outclassed many SATA devices and achieved the best result in its category. Additionally, the mechanical hard drive offers great write numbers while the USB 3.0 performance has some room for improvement.
