Noise is generally the bain of most consumers lives and in the hope of finding the quietest operation, we feel it’s necessary to show you the audio level of components. Typically with a desktop system we would fit a

When we look at the overall acoustic properties of a pre-built system, one of the components that we look at in particular is the graphics card. Having reviewed a large number of cards, we can easily get a feel of their performance, both acoustically and thermally. Powercolor’s fans are not the quietest out there and are the main reason for the slightly higher acoustic levels of the Vanquish 230XT as a whole, although this is recorded as a worst case scenario when the GPU is under a very heavy workload. Day-to-day gaming may not incur so much GPU load and the acoustics therefore may be slightly lower.
