PELADN Releases Radeon and GeForce GPUs That Resemble Bathroom Tiles

Chinese brand Peladn has released a new graphics card design for both NVIDIA and AMD named Taichi OC which resembles bathroom tiles.

PELADN Taichi OC Bathroom Tile Edition

This card was shared by VideoCardz and after glossing over the bathroom tiles the Taichi name raises some concern as that is a name associated with ASRock which definitely questions the legality of this card. Even more concerning is the box art for this card which resembles NVIDIA’s design but does not feature the NVIDIA name and instead just says “gaming graphics card”. The design is even more interesting as the image shared is supposedly of the Radeon RX 6750XT model of the card. The NVIDIA design does make some sense as this card is also available for the RTX 3070 and 3060 Ti but the 6750 XT and 6650 XT models don’t make much sense with this packaging. Moving onto the elephant in the room which is the design. The shroud of the card features a mosaic design which I wouldn’t be too hard-pressed to find at B&Q in the wall tiling section. It’s even worse when you look at the backplate which features completely different orange and light blue colours which just don’t match with the blue and white tiles on the front of the card someone at Peladn needs a Dulux colour chart.

Specs

The specs that have been shared are for the RX 6750 XT model of this card which features a 2554 MHz clock speed a TBP of 230W and uses 6+8 power connectors. The size of the card is likely the same across all four models with a 317mm length and 2.5 slot design.

Price and Availability

These cards are currently available from Chinese retailers with it unlikely that we will see these cards here in the UK, Europe or US.
