Phanteks is announcing that their popular TC12LS C-type CPU cooler now has RGB LED. While it still uses a high-static pressure PH-F120MP PWM fan, the new version has the HALOS RGB fan frame on top. The HALOS accessory essentially turns any 120mm fan into an RGB LED fan. It fits a standard 120mm fan and is only 6mm thick.
Otherwise, the TC12LS design and performance remains the same. It features 6x 6mm nickel plated copper heatpipes and is only 48.26mm tall without the 25mm thick fan plus the 6mm halos frame.
Yes, this HALOS accessory is otherwise available separately as well. Phanteks even offers it in both standard +12V RGB or +5V addressable HALOS Digital variant.
This allows users to upgrade their older TC12LS CPU cooler on their own as well. Furthermore, Phanteks also offers their higher-end HALOS LUX RGB LED fan frame add-on products. These are made of aluminium instead of plastic like the regular HALOS units.
The new TC12LS RGB CPU cooler has an MSRP of $49.99. Meanwhile, the standalone HALOS +12V RGB LED fan frame kit for 120mm fans is also available for $10.99 USD.
