Phanteks Announces Glacier GT1080Ti Founders Edition Water Block

Nvidia’s newest consumer flagship graphics card, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, has taken the market by storm. And that’s really no surprise as it performs incredibly and comes are a relatively low price compared to previous cards with this kind of power. I’m thinking of the Titan series here. The Founders Edition cooling might, however, not be enough to cool the card as much as you’d like. If that’s the case, then Phanteks latest Glacier liquid cooling block might be the right way to go.
The information is quite limited on the new water block, but then again – what kind of information do we need? It is compatible with the Founders Edition cards and it will make the card quite a bit smaller. As we know, Nvidia removed the DVI connector from the reference series and as such, you get a lower profile when adding the Glacier water block instead of the reference cooler.
The Glacier full cover water block is said to be made from premium materials and according to the finest standards of craftsmanship. The VITON sealing from the automotive and aerospace industries also ensure a great reliability and longevity. As for the colours, there will be two options to choose from, Mirrored Chrome and Satin Black.
RGB Lighting is included too and the Glacier GT1080Ti GTX 1080 Ti full cover water block is compatible with ASUS ‘Aura as well as MSI’s Mystic Light. Since the PCB design of the GTX 1080 Ti is practically identical to the Titan X cards, the full cover water block will work on them too.
Phanteks Glacier G1080Ti is backed by a 2-year warranty and it will be available in April 2017. The suggested retail price for the water block is €149.90 and £129.99.
