Phanteks Eclipse G500A Mid-Tower Case Review

A Closer Look – Exterior
Without a doubt, this is one really stunning PC case. Even without the hardware and without the RGB it just grabs your attention. Well, the white version does, I’m sure the black version is a little less in your face, but I guess that depends on where you place it, and the colour of the room around it too. There’s a lovely flush-mounted tempered glass window to show off your hardware.
the right side is a solid panel, flush mounted, and tool-free. Simple enough, but nicely done. Another important detail is that both the left and right side panels are hinge mounted so can be swung open, and then lifted off their hinges for easy access.
The front panel looks spectacular, and Phanteks say this new and improved design has even better airflow than before, which is obviously a good thing. There’s a lot of surface area, and a lot of perforation and those angular indentations keep it looking interesting too.
There’s a strip of RGB in here, but we’ll see that better later when the power is on. The front I/O is nice and compact, with a power button in the top middle of the front panel. There are RGB controls, a pair of USB 3 ports, a Type-C and 3.5mm jack up on the top.
Around the back, you’ll find a 120/140mm fan mount with elongated screw mounts for easy height adjustment. All of the expansion slots are using ventilated and reusable covers, and you can obviously see there are three vertical ones too.
