Phanteks Innovates Again With EvolvX Chassis

Phanteks Computex 2018
We’re huge fans of the Phanteks product range here at eTeknix. They continue to carve a path of innovation with their award-winning products, and their new range… well, it’s on another level yet again. The Evolv is epic, one of the finest chassis money can buy, but the EvolvX is the upgrade we didn’t know we wanted.
First up, it features a very similar looking front panel. However, it uses a revised mounting system so that it’s not scratched when removed (to clean the filters).
Furthermore, addressable RGB is now included, giving you endless customisation options.
Tempered glass is now standard of course, and as you can see, the floating drive bays, 8+2 GPU mount, and more give you lots of flexibility on the interior.
The top panel ventilation has been massively improved. This means less dust clogging, easier maintenance, and it just looks better overall.
Tempered glass on the right side for showing off your SSDs. Furthermore, the cable routing looks insanely tidy, since it’s all enclosed with some stylish covers.
It’ll support vertical GPU or standard installations. And yes, Phanteks did forget to put the motherboard backplate on, even the pros make that mistake.
The glass panels open up tool free on a hinged door and feature a rubber gasket seal to keep noise levels low, as well as keep dust out.
But wait, it’s even more insane than you think!
The radiator support is superb, with loads of room in the top and front for all your cooling needs.
However, you can “limit” yourself to a 240mm in the top, and install a mini-ITX system in the TOP of the chassis, seriously!
See it up top there? A mini-ITX water cooled PC, giving you a nice two systems in one build.

Storage
Those lovely cable routing covers are hiding a few more secrets too. Why have three stealthy SSD mounts when you can have nine. Seriously Phanteks, I’m very impressed.
More Features?
How about a built-in digital fan controller? No problem.
Price and Availability
It’ll be on the market soon enough, with an MSRP of just $199. I think that’s amazing value given the features on offer, and it’s an absolutely massive upgrade over their previous model.
