Phanteks Introduces Glacier Series R160 and R220 Reservoirs

While Phanteks is busy making new case designs, they are also increasing their Glacier series liquid cooling product line. The latest additions are the R160 and R220 reservoirs. Unlike most reservoirs in the market, the R160 and R220 use a slim design. The result is a sleeker product that is unlike anything in the market. Plus, since Phanteks uses an in-house designer, their products fit with the rest of their product line aesthetic.

The reservoirs are made of polished acrylic and sandblasted aluminium. There is also RGB LED integration already. Moreover, it is compatible with MSI’s Mystic Light Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion and ASUS Aura Sync. The slim design allows for versatile mounting in various orientations. The multi-port design also helps with this functionality.

Users can also incorporate it with a DDC pump. In fact, Phanteks already bundles a Viton O-ring to make pump installation swift. Simply remove the cover at the bottom then attach the pump. The aluminium cover can then be placed as a heatsink for the pump after, retaining the look while cooling the motor.

The two reservoirs share the same features, but differ in size. The R160 measures 80 x 160 x 37mm and has a 120ml volume. The R220 is slightly longer at 80 x 220 x 37 mm with a 200ml capacity. Both have three G1/4 inlets with one G1/4 outlet. There is also a G1/4 fillcap.

Pricing Information and Availability

Both reservoirs are going to be available from retailers starting February 2018. The R160 will have a retail price of £79.99 in the UK and €89,90 in the rest of the EU. Meanwhile, the R220 costs £79.99 or €109,90.
