Phanteks Launches Evolv ATX Tempered Glass Edition

Phanteks has consistently created a number of innovate chassis designs and set a new standard for other manufacturers to try and emulate. For example, the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe exhibited great build quality and a stylish RGB illuminated front section. On another note, the Enthoo Evolv’s 3mm aluminium panels and sophisticated styling made it a popular choice among system builders. Originally, the Evolv launched as either an ITX or mATX with a fairly affordable price point and received widespread critical acclaim. Of course, many users opt for larger form factors and pleaded with Phanteks to create an ATX version with support for relatively large eATX motherboards. Thankfully, the company unveiled this version at Computex last year. During CES 2016, the company showcased a slightly tweaked edition of the Enthoo Evolv sporting thick tempered glass side panels. After a fairly long wait, the Enthoo Evolv ATX Tempered Glass Edition is finally here.

The latest Evolv chassis includes new RGB lighting controls which allow you to cycle between a large number of dramatic effects including breathing and colour cycle. This 10 colour front section really enhances the design and I’m extremely tempted to order one for my own personal build. The chassis also comes with three Phanteks-FH140SP fans, two SSD brackets, three 3.5″ modular HDD brackets, a retractable radiator bracket and removable dust filters. In terms of finish options, you can choose between Satin Black, Galaxy Silver and Anthracite Grey. It’s also possible to upgrade the lighting with a Phanteks LED strip. Please remember, both side panels opt for the glass construction so you will need to perform tidy cable management. Thankfully, that’s pretty easy due to the chassis’ integrated cable ties and power supply cover.

When it comes to pricing, the Evolv ATX Tempered Glass Edition will retail for £149.99 and should be in stock right now. This isn’t a massive price increase compared to the previous edition which hovered around the £135 mark.
