MMD, a licensed brand partner of Philips is announcing the new 241B8QJEB monitor. While it uses an IPS panel with a typical 1920 x 1080 resolution, what sets it apart from the rest is how it is constructed. This 24-inch eco-friendly monitor uses up to 85% post-consumer recycled plastic. Furthermore, it is in compliance with multiple environmental standards.
An IPS panel of course, provides significantly superior colour range in comparison to low-cost TN panels. TN panels are usually fast and ideal for gaming. Whereas IPS panels are suitable in environments where visual quality is of higher importance. IPS panels also offer superior viewing angles and maintain colour uniformity better.
The 241B8QJEB also sports innovations such as LowBlue Mode, and Flicker-free mode. Both providing comfort for the user’s eyes through long periods. Meanwhile, its SmartErgoBase feature lets users adjust their posture properly so that their body is comfortable as well.
In terms of usage, the 241B8QJEB is most suitable for productivity and office work. It even has multiple connectivity options including VGA, DVI-D, DisplayPort 1.2, and HDMI 1.4. Furthermore, it comes with USB 3.0 ports for connecting higher-bandwidth devices such as external drives.
The Philips 241B8QJEB will be available starting January 2019 with an RRP of £159 in the UK.
