Philips Launches New 44.5″ SuperWide Monitor

Philips has introduced their new superwide 44.5″ monitor with a double QHD (5120×1440) resolution which is backed up by a plethora of features to aid professionals and multitaskers.

The Philips 45B1U6900C Display

This display from Philips combines a dual monitor setup into one single display allowing you to split the 44.5″ 5120×1440 32:9 panel into two 16:9 displays. The curved 1500R panel provides viewing angles of 178°/178° as well as crispy and high-contrast imagery with its DisplayHDR 400 support. The display is coated with an anti-glare coating and has a typical contrast ratio of 3000:1

Additional Ports

This SuperWide display from Philips offers a USB-C Docking hub with plenty of connectivity for the needs of a professional. An external device such as a laptop can be connected via USB-C to provide a display output or it can receive up to 100W of power delivery from the port. The monitor also includes an RJ45 port which allows for a laptop to gain wired network access through the monitor when connected VIA USB-C. The display also features 4 USB-A downstream ports as well as a single USB-B upstream port. When it comes to display output, alongside the USB-C port comes 2 HDMI 2.0 Ports and a single Displayport 1.4.

Additional Features

Alongside the USB-C hub the Philips 45B1U6900C also provides other features to aid professionals in their daily tasks. One of these features is a headphone hook on the side of the monitor to declutter the desktop. Another feature is the included KVM switch allowing for 2 separate computers to be controlled via one keyboard and mouse set. For working long hours in any ambient light the monitor has TUV Rheinland Eyesafe RPF 50 certification to ensure protection against blue light-induced eyestrain.
