Amazingly, despite having reviewed peripherals for over a decade, I don’t think I’ve ever tried a Philips gaming headset. While headphones and audio aren’t generally a big focus for Philips, they’re a huge company with a massive range of quality products, so I have high expectations of their new 5000 Series. It’s undoubtedly well-equipped though and can be used with the USB dongle for wireless, with a 3.5mm cable and even Bluetooth, so it should be broadly compatible with just about everything; PC, Mac, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices!
As part of their new 5000 series, the Philips TAG5106 certainly comes well-equipped. It features a pair of 50mm drivers and uses the DTS Headphones:X surround sound processing for multi-channel audio. You’ve got lots of connectivity y, long battery life, and built-in lighting, so it’s certainly competitively matched with many of its similarly priced rivals.
