Recommended Reading – Summary
Before I leave you to digest what you’ve just read, allow me to give you a few photography books that I consider read-worthy and eye-opening:
- Michael Freeman’s “The Photographer’s Eye: Composition and Design for Better Digital Photos”
- Michael Freeman’s “The Photographer’s Mind: Creative thinking for Better Digital Photos”
- Joe McNally’s “The Moment It Clicks: Photography Secrets from One of the World’s Top Shooters”
- Michael Frye’s “Digital Landscape Photography: In the Footsteps of Ansel Adams and the Great Masters”
- Bryan Peterson’s “Understanding Exposure”
- Ibarionex Perello’s “Chasing the Light: Improving your Photography with Available Light”
- Bruce Barnbaum’s “The Art of Photography: An Approach to Personal Expression”
- Tony Northrup’s “How to Create Stunning Digital Photography”
All these books are not meant for “table-top” chill out reading, you need to be fully focused and read them more than just once to digest them and “incorporate” their advice and methods in the way you think when holding a camera to your eyes.
At first (except Tony Northrup’s book which is essentially a Photography 101 to get you started) they might seem “too deep”, but trust me, once you understand the “basics” covered in those books, you’ll realize that they mean EVERYTHING, you’ll start noticing things, taking better photos day by day.
Having read everything in this short article, you shall be able to read and comprehend whatever photography review/article/guide we release in the future.
So, what are you waiting for?
Get some books, read them, read them again, read our articles, guides & reviews, shoot some photos, post-process them in Adobe PhotoShop, analyze your own photos and the work of other photographers, practice, and shoot some more!
