During the 20 series, NVIDIA made the interesting choice of releasing a Super refresh of its cards though following that they never bothered doing so with the 30 series and possibly not even with the 40 series. However, there were plans for a Super 30 series and today an image has been shared of an RTX 3090 Super cooler.
The RTX 3090 Super prototype cooler was shared on Twitter by KittyYYuko and shows how this planned card would’ve looked if NVIDIA decided to release it. The cooler features the FE cooler of the 3090 however opts for an all-black design with the super logo on the backplate. This card was of course never released but it does raise the question of whether NVIDIA would consider another all-black cooler design for an actual release later down the line of another model, maybe even the RTX 4080 Ti. With some people creating their own white editions of the FE cooler, an all-black edition would be a nice touch as well.
