While got our first glimpse of Google’s new Nexus 5 last month, we’re now getting some better quality leaks. With a launch set rumoured to be later this month, we should expect even more leaks for the Nexus 5 and the rest of Google’s new Nexus lineup.
Just like the previous image, the new one shows off the distinctive camera bulge. We also get a better view of the dual-LED flash and laser range finder. While the Nexus 5 camera eventually got pretty decent, the new module looks to be a nice improvement with the numerous improvements.
Also on the back we can see the new ring for the fingerprint sensor. With the arrival of Android 6.0 Marshmellow, we should be seeing increased support for biometrics. Near the bottom edge, you can find the headphone jack which has been moved compared to the old Nexus 5.
The Nexus 5 is set to arrive with a Snapdragon 808 SoC, 3GB of ram, Adreno 418 GPU and a 2700mAh battery all powering a 5.2″ 1080p display. We should expect a launch along with the release of Android 6.0 and the new Huawei Nexus as well. Overall, the new Nexus 5 should be a worthy successor to its popular namesake.
