Zen Studios, a leading developer when it comes to virtual pinball games has announced that Pinball FX2 will be coming to Steam on May 10th, 2013 as a free platform download for all users.
Pinball FX2 is releasing with a huge lineup of in-app DLC including tables from the hugely popular Star Wars Pinball and Marvel Pinball series, as well as a selection of Zen Studios original pinball creations.
The following pinball packs will be available for Pinball FX2 on Steam at launch for $9.99 each:
“Zen Studios will support Pinball FX2 on Steam with new and exciting pinball content, and will continue to evolve the pinball platform with new features and the innovative social connectivity that helped revive the pinball genre in recent years.” – Zen
Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good Pinball game and while Zen have some of the best on the market, I think that the DLC does seem a tad expensive. It’s great to get a few tables for free but do we really need nearly $60 worth of extra tables? Either way, I’ll be downloading the free edition in a few days time to see what all the fuss is about.
