Playjam, the company behind the much anticipated new Android powered portable games console; GameStick have launched a competition for budding designers, games developers and fans of GameStick to design bespoke skins for the device. Working with their good friends at DiabloSkinz they are enabling all GameStick owners the ability to customize their GameStick the way they want, and to help launch this service are running a competition to find the first ten ‘official’ designs that will be made available to everyone.
The competition, which launched on Facebook this week asks fans to submit their own artwork and designs for GameStick to be put to the public vote. The top ten designs will then be made available to purchase when GameStick goes on sale in August.
Budding designers are asked to enter their designs by simply heading to the Facebook page, download the Photoshop template, then when ready submit a JPG using the attached form. Once through moderation, it will be made available for the public vote.
“We are so thrilled to be able to offer our fans this opportunity and within hours of the competition going live we have had some amazing submissions. The ability to completely personalise your GameStick is a totally unique one and we have had some amazing feedback so far. We are just excited every time we get a submission to see the creativity that is out there. Good luck to all the entrants.” Said Anthony Johnson, CMO, Playjam.
Entrants and Facebook fans are encouraged to check back regularly to the Facebook page to view other submissions and for updates and to tweet their design to gain maximum votes using #MyGameStickSkin.
