PlayStation 4 Slim Models Originated From The UAE

The PlayStation 4 Slim has been nothing short of a debacle with members of the public selling units online despite the console not being officially announced. This initially raised questions if the leaked photos of the PlayStation 4 Slim were an elaborate ploy designed to trick people. Of course, further evidence in the form of videos showed the PlayStation 4 Slim was a legitimate, working console and there’s even been a review posted outlining the key differences versus the original design. It seems unbelievable though to have the console in circulation via private sellers or stores like CEX.

According to information reported by MCV, the stock originated from the UAE and a few units were distributed to eBay sellers and specialist indie stores. Apparently, the console will be officially announced on September 7th. One buyer weighed in on the situation and said:

“You have to feel sorry for PlayStation, because it’s all descended into an absolute farce,”

Another added:

“We didn’t even realise this was coming out until it was available to buy online. We’ve seen early selling before, but nothing quite like this.”

This is a really bizarre situation and it’s a shame that the press conference will no longer have that sense of excitement when the PlayStation 4 Slim is finally revealed. Nevertheless, details about the Neo should make up for it.
