Sony has announced that the PlayStation 5 has surpassed 40 million in sales after nearly 3 years since its launch in November 2020.
Jim Ryan, Sony President and CEO made the announcement yesterday that the popular games console had surpassed 40 million sales despite all the supply chain issues when it first launched. The PlayStation 5 has proved itself to be the more popular choice of console in the last few years and has seen more than 2,500 games available for users to play including a large variety of exclusive titles. Out of those games, the PlayStation community has voted for their top 40 titles on the console which has placed ASTRO’s Playroom, the game which serves as a tech demo for the DualSense controller, right at the top followed by BUGSNAX and Modern Warfare II. The PlayStation 5 still has many years of use left and with the rumoured PS5 Pro, that will be expanded on even more providing many more experiences with higher performance.
Congratulations to Sony on hitting this milestone.
