PlayStation Reveals Exclusive Monster Hunter Wilds DualSense for Japan

In an exciting move, PlayStation has announced a special DualSense controller and PS5 plates inspired by Capcom’s highly anticipated 2025 release, Monster Hunter Wilds. This exclusive set will hit shelves in Japan on February 28, 2025, the same day the game launches.

According to the PlayStation Blog, the special edition DualSense features a striking silver and volcanic red design, inspired by the first team pattern worn by hunters in the game. The touchpad is emblazoned with the Forbidden Area Investigation Team emblem. It will retail for ¥12,480, approximately $82 USD.

The PS5 plates will also feature the Forbidden Lands Investigation Team emblem, set against a midnight black background. These will be available for ¥9,980, or about $65 USD.

Unfortunately, both the controller and plates are exclusive to Japan. There’s no news yet on whether they will be available in other regions.

Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Arrives Soon

Capcom has also confirmed that the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta will take place between November 1 and 4 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. However, players with PlayStation Plus can access the beta starting on October 29. The test will also feature cross-play once it is open to all players.
